TRI-CITY CELEBRATES FLICK & RUDOLPH VICTORIES

FRANKLIN, PA- A brief rain delay before feature time created a lightening fast track for the Krill Recycling 410 Sprint Cars. A.J. Flick went wire to wire to record his second victory of the weekend and second this season at Tri City Raceway Park. Erick Rudolph snapped the winning streak of Chad Reitz in the 21st Century Energy Group 358 Modifieds. Picking up the first win of the season in the 4 Your Car Connection RUSH Sprint Cars was Blaze Myers. Taking the final checkered flag of the night was Bobby Whitling in the Hovis Auto & Truck Supply Pro Stocks.

In the 21st Century Energy Group 358 Modifieds, Kyle Fink and Jimmy Holden held the front row starting spots. Erick Rudolph and Eric Beggs were in row two, with Hayden Holden and Chad Reitz in row three. The fourth row belonged to Eric Gabany, who was subbing for Steve Slater, and Brandon Ritchey. Jessica Kriegisch and Lenny Liebold, III were next. Frank Guidace and his daughter, Makayla Shannon were in row six.

Fink blasted into the lead on the opening lap, but Rudolph was stalking him immediately. Coming off turn two on lap three, Rudolph rode the outside line to grab the lead, which he never relinquished. Jimmy Holden, Hayden Holden, and Gabany fell into line behind them.

A couple of cautions slowed the pace in the middle of the race, but Rudolph was able to fight off the challenges of Fink on the pair of restarts. Soon thereafter, Jimmy Holden retired from the race with a smoking engine, handing third over to Reitz. Kriegisch and Ritchey were running in the top five.

Rudolph sailed to the win, overcoming an oil leak from his heat race. Fink was second, with Reitz, Kriegisch, and Ritchey in the top five. Beggs, Guidace, Shannon, Troy McGregor, and Jimmy Holden made up the balance of the top ten.

The 21st Century Energy Group heat winners were Rudolph and Fink for the 358 Modifieds. There was no B Main.
